New Zealand has recently passed Immigration legislation aimed at making it easier for larger investors to gain Residency.

Entrepreneur and Investment visas:

Entrepreneur - Residence

• Investment capital of at least NZ$500,000
• Created at least 3 new full time jobs for NZers.
• Hold a work visa in this category for 2 years.
• Plus All the above

Investor Visa

• Minimum investment 2.5 Mill for 4 years in an acceptable investment:
• Minimum 3 years business experience
• English language requirements for PA and SA included in the application Overall band for PA is IELTS overall band score of 3.
• Max age: 65 years
• Quota of 400 per year.
• Point based. Points criteria found here:   Must apply first by submitting and EOI.
• Must also nominate investment funds. With evidence that you have genuine funds.
• Minimum stay in NZ is 146 days over 3 years or 438 days in NZ over the 4 year period.

Investment plus

• Minimum investment of 10 million.
• Invested for 3 years
• No additional requirements.
• Must investment in an acceptable investment, as indicated above in Investor Visa.
• Must spend minimum days in NZ (44 days in each of the 2 years, or 88 days at any time over the 3 year period)
